The 'Talk House' inn, formally called 'The George' stands on the B4027, the road between Islip and Forest Hill. The road is the old main road between London and the west --- before the A40 was built. The road you can see going off to the middle right of this picture is the start of Stanton St John's 'Middle Road' leading to the centre of the village. |
